I designed this room to be a peaceful study and meditation space. The large, backlit moon mural serves as the focal point, providing a calming, ambient light that's perfect for focus and relaxation.
This is one of my favorite photos ever. At the end of a project, the client's dalmatian, Kaala, stood admiring the newly installed moon mural. It’s a reminder that good art can captivate anyone.
For this kids' bedroom, I combined a 3D moon mural with playful, painted rockets and astronauts. The moon itself is textured and lights up, making it an interactive and magical element in the room's space theme.

This moon mural is enhanced with dual-color LED lighting. The warm inner glow highlights the texture, while the cool blue backlight creates a beautiful halo effect against the dark wall.
About this collection
The textured surface you see in these photos is hand-sculpted using putty compounds, building up to 1.5 inches of depth directly on your wall. Because I integrate custom LED backlighting to create that halo glow, I require a raw electrical point at the designated spot. This is a permanent installation, so ensure your wall is finished and primed before I arrive to start the sculpting process.
How I Create Your Moon
My moon murals are not paint-based art. I use a specialized mixture of POP and putty to build the lunar surface layer by layer. This gives you a tangible, 3D texture you can actually run your hands over. The craters are sculpted individually to catch the light, which is where the LED integration comes in.
The Lighting Setup
I install high-quality LED strips behind the sculpted moon. This creates a dual-effect, highlighting the texture of the craters with an inner glow while casting a soft ambient light onto your wall. Whether you want a warm, golden vibe for a bedroom or a cool, blue halo for a study space, I adjust the tone to match your room.

The entire process takes about 4 to 6 days, including the necessary 48-hour drying cycles between sculpting and painting. I am based in Bangalore, but I travel across India for projects.
