About Dog Grooming & Styling
Humanity Before Vanity
At Downtown Dogs, I put your dog’s comfort and health ahead of everything else. I won’t do a stylish shave on a double-coated dog like a Husky unless a vet says it’s needed - their fur’s there for a reason. I want your pup walking out happy, not just with a fancy haircut.
What Happens During Grooming
Every grooming session is a full-on dog spa experience. I take my time with the bath, especially if your dog hates water. Blow-dry comes next, then the actual haircut and styling. I use safe tools and no shortcuts. And yes, every dog leaves rocking a bandana - it’s kinda my thing.
Styling for All Breeds
I’ve worked with everything from tiny Poms to big Golden Retrievers. If you want a breed-specific dog haircut for your Schnauzer or want your Lab to look like a lion for a day, I’ll figure out what suits your dog’s coat and lifestyle best. Safety and comfort come first, always.
More Than Just a Trim
Matted fur? I see it all the time. If your dog’s coat is a tangled mess, sometimes the kindest fix is a matted fur shave-down. It’s not pretty at first, but it’s a relief for your dog and way better for their skin.
First Timers & Photo Moments
A puppy’s first grooming session is a big deal. I go slow and gentle so it’s not scary. At the end, I snap a quick photo of your dog’s fresh look in their bandana. It’s my favorite part - seeing them happy and looking their best.

My Story
Dogs are my people, honestly. Every pup who walks in—whether it’s that wild Lab who’s just here for the snacks, or a tiny Shih Tzu shaking through his first groom—gets treated like family. Some snoop around, some just flop and chill. We believe in 'humanity before vanity'—I won’t torture a dog for the sake of style. If your furball needs a shave because of matted fur, that’s what we’ll do. Seeing them comfy and wagging is why I do this.
