Behind the Scenes of My Dog Training Life
Get a glimpse of what really happens when the leash comes off. From morning greetings to the reality of building a bond, here is the day-to-day life behind professional canine coaching.
Your friendly neighborhood canine trainer, saying hello from Noida! This is me in my element, happy and ready for a day of training in the park.
This is how I'm greeted every single day, and I absolutely love it. Each dog has its own unique way of saying hello, from happy wags to excited jumps. This is the best part of my job.
I definitely have a split personality. There's my normal voice, and then there's the high pitched, super happy 'dog voice' that comes out during training. I'm sure all dog lovers can relate to this!
A proud moment for me and my dog Bindiya. She was featured in a special report on India’s pet care industry on CNBC TV18. It's amazing to see our work recognized on such a big platform.
About Behind the Scenes: A Dog Trainer's Life
Many believe training is only about teaching commands, but real progress happens in the mundane moments. It is less about fancy footwork and more about teaching you how to read your dog’s body language during a normal walk in the park or a quiet evening at home.
You see the polished clips on social media, but the work is much grittier. When I left my corporate job, I wanted to prove that dog training is not about making animals into robots. It is about communication. My approach relies on balanced training, meaning we use clear boundaries combined with positive reinforcement to build a language you and your dog can both understand.
Whether I am working with a tiny pup or a big adult dog, I focus on the human side of the equation. Most behavior issues like leash reactivity, aggression, or separation anxiety stem from a breakdown in the relationship, not just a stubborn dog. If you hire me, you are not paying for someone to fix your pet while you stand by. You are paying for a coach to help you lead.
I assess temperaments, evaluate prey drive, and use counter conditioning techniques to help your dog feel secure. We work on real-life skills, such as meeting a new baby, sitting calmly at a cafe, or handling door dashing. My sessions, whether in-person in Noida and South Delhi or through our online workshops, are designed to transfer these skills directly to you. Yeh sirf kaam nahi hai, life hai bhidu. I am here to help you raise a great canine citizen so you can experience that same 'dard ki dawa' (pain relief) bond I share with my own dog, Bindiya.
