Your Pup's First Swim: Building Confidence in the Water
Is your dog a 'pani wala kutta'? It’s totally okay! We specialize in turning water-shy pups into confident swimmers with patient, guided support at our Bellandur pool.
This is how we do it for first-timers. A coach is always in the water, providing physical and emotional support. We go at the dog's pace, using lots of praise to turn fear into fun. Just keep swimming.
This customer's video of Louie's swimming journey is a perfect testimonial. They highlight how my coaches helped their pup, who was initially scared, learn to enjoy the pool. Seeing this progress is what I love most.
There are two types of dogs at the pool: the one who dives right in, and the one who needs a little convincing. This video shows both, and it's a reminder that it's okay to be hesitant. We'll get there together.
About Your Pup's First Swim
We don't believe in the 'sink or swim' method. Your pup’s first time in our Bellandur pool is all about building trust, using a non-slip ramp and having a coach right beside them in the water to offer reassurance and support, not just supervision.
When your dog walks onto our deck, it isn't just about getting wet. It is about understanding that for many dogs, water is an intimidating space. Our guided swimming sessions are specifically designed for the 'pani wala kutta' (water-shy dog) who might be bouncing off the walls at home or struggling with stiff joints.
We start with a gradual approach. Your dog uses a non-slip ramp to enter, never a sudden drop. Once in the water, one of our coaches stays in the pool with them. This is crucial. It is not just about safety; it is about having a friendly face to offer encouragement, toss a favorite toy, and ensure your pup feels secure. We use mandatory life jackets for buoyancy, which takes the pressure off their joints and gives them the confidence to paddle.
Every session runs for 45 to 60 minutes, which is the sweet spot for a workout without exhaustion. And we take care of the messy part too. You get a fresh water rinse and a high-velocity blow-dry included, so your car stays clean and your pup goes home feeling fresh, not soggy. Whether you are looking to manage arthritis in an older dog, burn off excess energy, or just beat the Bangalore heat, we are here to make sure the experience is paw-some from start to finish.
