I have been doing this for over 15 years, and the biggest lesson I learned is that a wedding party is not a radio show. It is about reading the room. Whether you are hosting a Sangeet in Pune, a reception in Delhi, or a destination event in a royal fort in Jaipur, my goal is the same: the dance floor stays packed.
The Open Format Style
I run an Open Format style, which means I transition through genres to keep everyone happy. One minute it is a classic Bollywood anthem, the next it is a Punjabi hit or some commercial English track to get the international guests moving. I don't rely on pre-recorded mixes because every crowd is different. I watch the floor, see who is dancing and who is flagging, and adjust the tempo in real-time.
Technical Reliability
I bring my own Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS2/3000 console and MacBook Pro with a massive library. I perform personally, so you know exactly who is showing up. My microphone work is part of the package—I am there to hype the crowd, handle announcements, and keep the energy high. If your guests are shy, I will work double time to get them on the floor.
