About The Artist & The Setup
Being a Video DJ means I do not just handle the audio; I sync live music videos and custom visuals to the rhythm, so you get an immersive, concert-like experience. Whether it is a solo set or a fusion performance with a live percussionist, my setup is built to keep the energy locked from the first track to the last.
The Video DJ (VJ) Advantage
When I perform as a VJ, the visual element acts as the pulse of the party. I use professional-grade software to mix music videos live on your venue LED screens, creating a high-impact show. This is not just about background music, it is about creating a dynamic atmosphere that complements the beat. This setup is perfect for large-scale corporate events or Sangeet nights where engagement needs to be high.
Jugalbandi and Live Fusion
One of my favorite ways to elevate a set is by collaborating with live musicians. When I perform a jugalbandi with a percussionist or saxophonist, we create a layer of raw, rhythmic energy that a standard playlist cannot replicate. It turns a standard party into a concert-like experience. We improvise on the fly, feeding off the crowd's reaction to blend electronic beats with live instruments.
My Technical Setup
I bring my own gear to every gig because the hardware matters. For professional sets, I use a club-standard Pioneer CDJ nexus setup. For intimate events, I bring my own portable controller and high-fidelity active speaker systems. Everything is thoroughly checked and pre-tested to ensure there are no technical hiccups during your event.
My approach is simple: I arrive 90 minutes early for sound checks, coordinate with the venue AV team, and ensure that by the time the first guest arrives, the vibe is ready.
