When you book me for a headline set, I don't just show up and plug in. I arrive 60 minutes early to personally sync with the venue's line array system, making sure my Pioneer DDJ setup is perfectly calibrated so the high-BPM Bollywood beats hit hard and clear for crowds of 500 or more.
I treat every set like a main stage performance. Whether I am playing a commercial top 40 set at a club like Gilly's or handling a massive open-air Holi festival, my priority is the same: keeping the energy, or the 'habba', at peak levels.
My approach to crowd control is hands-on. I am not a DJ who just hides behind the console. I use the mic to hype the crowd, coordinate waves, and manage countdowns during key drops. For private events or corporate gigs, I adapt my playlist, mixing old-school 80s and 90s nostalgia with modern Bolly-Tech fusion depending on the vibe of the room.
Technical setup is critical to my sound. I bring my own controller and laptop, and I work directly with venue sound engineers to ensure my levels are spot on.
