My approach to wedding and sangeet parties is open format. This means I do not stick to one rigid list. I switch between Bollywood chartbusters, Punjabi anthems, and retro hits based on who is actually on the dance floor. If the crowd needs a retro vibe, we go there. If they want high-energy techno fusions, I switch it up instantly.
Visuals matter too. I am a VDJ, meaning I mix music videos and custom graphics live. Your sangeet gets a full sensory blast, not just background music.
Logistics: I am based in Mumbai but travel anywhere for your wedding. My setup requires an industry-standard console (Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS2 or 3000s and DJM 900 NXS2 mixer) and a proper PA system from the venue. I handle the mic work to keep the energy up, manage the flow of the night, and make sure the transition from cocktails to the main dance party is smooth.
