Behind the Decks: DJ DKS Brand & Style
Music isn't just my job, it's my high. From studio sessions remixing tracks to commanding festival crowds, this is what goes into making every night sakattāgittu.
A quick look behind the scenes in my studio, working on a brand new remix of the track "Akhiyaan Gulab." I love creating my own custom edits and bootlegs to play in my live sets.
Channeling my inner "Bazigar" on stage. A big part of my performance is the energy and attitude I bring, using effects like CO2 cannons to hype up the crowd.
Presenting my brand new logo. My brand is all about energy, professionalism, and a premium party experience, and this logo represents that vision.
A professional DJ needs to look the part. Success comes from hard work, perseverance, and a love for the craft, and I bring that dedication to every single event.

About My Brand & More
I don't just show up and play a pre-made playlist. When I am working on a new remix like 'Akhiyaan Gulab' in my studio, I am thinking about how it will hit on the sound system at a venue like Indigo XP. My prep involves deep music library management and setting up cues for live effects, so when I am on the mic, I am not just announcing songs—I am controlling the energy of the room to match the crowd's vibe.
My Studio Process
People see the high-energy sets, but the real work happens before I even step onto the stage. Whether I am creating a bootleg for a club night or prepping a set for a college fest like SJC, I spend hours in the studio. I am constantly chopping tracks, adding my own drops, and ensuring my transition mixes are tight. I prioritize keeping the library fresh with a blend of Bolly-tech, Punjabi pop, and namma Kannada remixes that get the crowd moving.
More Than Just Music
Being a DJ is about reading the room. At large-scale events like the Bangalore Dandiya Festival at XU or New Year's Eve at The Lalit Ashok, the music needs to be big, but the interaction is what makes it work. I am on the mic, hyping up the crowd, coordinating with VJs for LED visuals, and managing cues for SFX like CO2 jets.
Whether I am performing at a private farmhouse event in Bangalore or a luxury wedding at a resort, my goal is the same: to make the night sakattāgittu (awesome). I treat a wedding cocktail party with the same energy as a festival stage because every event is the biggest night in town for the people hosting it.
