About Custom VJ Mashups & Edits
I build every set from scratch in my studio rather than using pre-made loops. When you book a VJ set, I connect my MacBook Pro directly to your venue’s LED wall or projector via HDMI. This allows me to pull up custom overlays, birthday shout-outs, or trending memes in real-time as I read the crowd, making sure the visuals match the energy on the floor perfectly.
How My VJ Sets Work
It is not just about playing music videos. I function as both your DJ and VJ, syncing my audio mix with high-definition visual feeds. Whether it is a Bollywood sangeet or a high-energy club night, the visuals on the screen react to the beat drops, meme transitions, and track changes in real-time.
My Approach to Mashups
I do not play stock mixes. I spend hours in my home studio blending trending Punjabi beats, hip-hop, and classic Bollywood hits with visual layers. You might see a Dua Lipa visual colliding with a viral desi meme, or an 80s Bollywood edit mixed with modern house music. My goal is to make the audience laugh, dance, and stay engaged.
Technical Details & Setup
- Quality: I provide 1080p full HD video feeds, ensuring the visuals look sharp on any LED wall or projection system.
- Compatibility: I work with standard 16:9 aspect ratios. If your venue doesn't have a screen, I offer a Turnkey Party AV Package which includes a 3500 Lumens projector and a 6x4 or 8x6 foot portable tripod screen.
- Personalization: Want to show a birthday wish or a brand logo on the screen? I can overlay your text or graphics periodically throughout the performance.
I arrive at the venue 60 minutes early to manage the HDMI connections and focus checks, so there is no stress once the guests arrive. My open-format style means I can switch from retro Bollywood to international dance in the same set, keeping the energy high for the entire 4-5 hour duration.
