About Engagement & Pre-Wedding Functions
My engagement sessions typically last 4 to 6 hours, which provides sufficient time to cover all rituals without rushing you. I focus on candid moments and natural portraits rather than static posing, so you get genuine expressions. If you have specific venue constraints or a preferred lighting style, let me know during our first call so I can plan my gear and team size accordingly.
My Approach to Engagement Photography
Engagement ceremonies often have a distinct energy that is faster and more intimate than the main wedding day. My goal is to capture that intensity without interfering with the flow of your event.
What to Expect
- Candid Coverage: I prioritize documenting natural interactions between you, your partner, and your families. I minimize staging to ensure the photographs reflect the actual atmosphere of the ceremony.
- Couple Portraits: I use prime lenses for these sessions to achieve a soft background blur, which keeps the focus entirely on you. We can do these at the venue or a nearby spot, depending on your schedule.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Whether it is a Maharashtrian engagement or a North Indian ring ceremony, I know the traditional flow. I wait for the key rituals, such as the exchange of rings or traditional prayers, so you do not have to worry about missing the important shots.
Logistics and Gear
I generally work with a team of two professionals for pre-wedding functions. This allows us to cover both the wide-angle shots of the gathering and the close-up, high-detail shots of rings, jewelry, and outfits. I carry both natural light equipment and on-camera flash setups, allowing me to switch instantly if your venue shifts from outdoor daylight to indoor hall lighting.
