About The Pathway: Selection Trials & Tournaments
When you walk into our selection trials, do not focus only on hitting big shots. I observe how you handle pressure after a dot ball, how you communicate with your partner between overs, and your body language in the field. Skill gets you in the door, but it is your attitude and ability to listen to instruction that determines if you are ready for academy training.
The Selection Process
We do not look for finished products; we look for potential and character. Our trials are conducted across age groups, from Under-12 to Under-19, to ensure every player competes against their peers. Whether you are a batsman, pacer, or spinner, you must demonstrate the basics under the watchful eye of our senior coaches.
Why Match Experience Matters
Beyond the nets, we believe in the philosophy of Sweat. Drill. Repeat. which extends to competitive play. Selection here is just the beginning. We integrate selected players into regular match practice through internal tournaments like the Varroc Cup. This is where you test your technical skills in real game scenarios, managing pitch conditions, field placements, and scoreboard pressure.
Preparing for Trials
- Age Verification: Always carry your birth certificate. We strictly adhere to age-group guidelines (U-12, U-14, U-16, U-19).
- Equipment: Come in full cricket whites and carry your own kit.
- Mindset: Do not worry if you aren't selected on your first attempt. Many of our current squad members tried out multiple times before making the cut. If you aren't selected, work on your weaknesses and come back for the next cycle.
Our goal is to create a pathway for players from local maidans to state and national representation. We provide the platform, the facilities, and the mentorship; you bring the discipline.
