Live Fusion DJ Sets: Electronic Beats Meets Indian Roots

When I bring the tabla or harmonium to your event, we aren’t just playing over a backing track. We actually improvise based on how the crowd is moving, meaning no two sets sound exactly the same. You just need to ensure the venue provides enough space for the live setup and the necessary monitor speakers for the musicians to hear the mix perfectly.

Why Live Fusion?

Music is about energy, and sometimes that energy needs to be felt physically. My live fusion sets do exactly that by bridging the gap between a club DJ experience and a live concert.

I’ve taken this setup everywhere from rooftop venues like Upar Chal to private weddings, blending deep electronic basslines with the organic, percussive drive of the tabla and the melodic hum of the harmonium.

The Setup & What You Get

This isn't just someone pressing play on a laptop. It is a collaborative performance.

• The Blend: I focus on 'Bolly Tech' and Afro House rhythms, using live instruments to accent the drops and build-ups. It changes the atmosphere of a sangeet or wedding party, giving it a much more 'live' feel than a standard DJ set.
• The Logistics: For these sets, I arrive 60 minutes early to configure the console and soundcheck. Since I’m coordinating with live instruments, I need the venue to provide the standard DJ console rider (Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS2 or 3000 players and DJM 900 NXS2 Mixer).
