Storytelling Training for Parents and Teachers
Wish bedtime stories were a magical bond instead of a battle of wills? I help parents and teachers master the art of storytelling to raise kind, curious, and confident kids.
A little bit about me, your mentor. I'm a software engineer turned professional storyteller, and a mum of two. I've trained over 1000 mothers and teachers, and my mission is to help you use the power of stories to raise confident, kind, and curious readers.
My training is designed to be practical and hands-on. We cover the art and science of storytelling, where to find great tales, and how to use them to make learning joyful. You'll leave with a complete toolkit, including lesson plans and a community of fellow storytellers.
A glimpse into one of my online training batches. We have people from all walks of life, from grandmas to branding experts, but in our sessions, we are all just children having fun with stories. I love the energy and passion in every group.
Here's a look at an offline workshop in Mumbai. My sessions are very physical and interactive. We use our bodies, faces, and voices to bring stories to life. It's all about learning by doing and having fun in the process.
A snapshot from a marathon 6-hour training session with a wonderful group of teachers. The energy was incredible, and it's so fulfilling to empower educators with new tools to engage their students.
The joy of sharing what I love. This is from a teacher training session where we explored different techniques to make reading and learning an adventure. Seeing participants light up as they discover their own storytelling style is the best part of my job.
Spreading the joy of stories with a fantastic group of teachers from Mumbai Public Schools. Now they can take this magic back to their own classrooms and communities. It's wonderful to see the ripple effect of storytelling.
This was my 14th batch of the year, and it was full of experienced storytellers looking to level up their skills. I tailor my coaching to each individual's goals, whether they are a parent wanting to bond with their child or a professional looking to captivate an audience.
A screenshot from an online session where we discussed the importance of purpose. My training goes beyond just techniques; we explore the "why" behind our stories, which is what truly connects us to our audience and our passion.
I was recently invited to share my storytelling secrets with pre-primary teachers at Mumbai Public Schools. We focused on using minimal words and maximum expression to captivate young imaginations. It was a joy to see their enthusiasm.
About My Storytelling Training for Parents & Teachers
I keep my batches to just 5-6 people for a reason. This is not a lecture where you sit back and listen to theory. It is an 8-hour hands-on experience where I personally coach you on voice modulation, physical gestures, and how to choose the right story for the right moment. By the time we finish, you will have a toolkit ready to use the very next day.
Why Storytelling Matters
We all want to raise children who are kind, resilient, and curious. But in a world full of screens, getting them to focus can feel impossible. Stories are the bridge. When you tell a story—really tell it, with your voice, your expressions, and your heart—you are doing more than entertaining. You are teaching empathy, helping them handle big emotions, and building a connection that lasts long after the book is closed.
What You Will Learn
My training isn't just about reading words on a page. It is about performance and connection. Whether you are a parent wanting to make bedtime special or a teacher looking to engage a restless classroom, we cover:
- Voice Modulation: Learn to control your pitch and tempo so you don't lose your voice, and use it to keep listeners hooked.
- Performance Techniques: Using your face, hands, and minimal props to make tales come alive.
- Selection & Creation: Finding age-appropriate stories and adapting them to teach specific values like kindness or resilience.
- The 'Why' Behind the Story: Understanding the emotional intelligence (SEL) layer of storytelling.
How We Work Together
I offer this training in two formats. You can join me at my studio in Chembur, Mumbai, for a deeply immersive, physical experience. Or, if you are outside the city or prefer the convenience of home, we do the exact same interactive work online.
Because I limit my cohorts to 5-6 participants, you get 1-on-1 feedback on your assignments. We share, we practice, and we learn from each other. My goal is to help you find your own unique storytelling voice—not to make you sound like me. You will leave with a certificate, ready-to-use lesson plans, and access to a supportive community of fellow storytellers.
