Most winter fabrics feel bulky, but my focus here is on using lycra-blend velvets and vertical-panel tailoring that visually streamlines your frame rather than adding weight. Whether it is a hand-embroidered fuchsia saree or a navy wool coat featuring 400-year-old Jamavar patches, these pieces are chosen for both their insulating warmth and their ability to keep your silhouette looking taller and leaner.
I have spent thirty years refining the art of the fit, and winter fashion is where that skill truly shines. Many women avoid velvet, fearing it adds volume, but my designs rely on clever draping and specific fabric choices to prevent that. My winter collection, housed at my New Friends Colony studio, is about proving you can be cozy without sacrificing your shape.
