About Old Delhi Heritage Walk
Our walks are not about checking monuments off a list. We spend our time in the narrow lanes of Shahjahanabad, ducking into spice shops in Khari Baoli or stopping to talk about the history etched into an old haveli. You get a guide who knows these streets better than their own home, someone to bridge the gap between the chaos you see and the stories hidden underneath.
Why do we walk? Because the soul of Delhi is not in the big museums; it is in the chai stalls, the tangled wires overhead, and the centuries-old names carved into stone. On our heritage walk, we take you through the arteries of Old Delhi. We do not just point at buildings; we talk about the poets who lived here, the spices that built these empires, and the reason this area is called 'pehli mohabbat' (first love) by so many.
Expect three to three and a half hours of unfiltered, raw, and beautiful Delhi. We keep our groups small because that is the only way to really hear the stories without the noise. From the majestic Jama Masjid to the hidden courtyards of forgotten havelis, you will see the architecture shift as we move from the Mughal era into the bustling realities of today. It is gritty, it is loud, and it is the most authentic way to see the city.
