Delhi, Up Close & Personal: Rediscovering the City
Seeing Delhi from a bus is one thing, but feeling its pulse on a cycle or on foot is different. We believe in slow travel—pausing for chai, listening to stories, and rediscovering the hidden lanes you’ve lived past for years.
A post celebrating World Heritage Day. We believe heritage structures are living history, and we are passionate about preserving and learning from them through our sustainable tours.
We often ask, "What do we love about Delhi?" For us, it's the mix of history, culture, and the endless stories found in places like the Town Hall in Chandni Chowk.
An everyday scene in Old Delhi, captured in black and white. This image reflects the raw, unfiltered beauty of the city's architecture and the lives lived within it.
About Delhi, Up Close & Personal
When you ride or walk with us, we don’t stick to the tourist map. We go where the city lives—the narrow gallis of Old Delhi, the forgotten corners of Mehrauli, or the quiet ridge trails. Our tours aren't about rushing from one monument to the next; we build in time for a proper kulhad chai, conversations with shopkeepers who have been there for generations, and a pace that lets you actually notice the crumbling, beautiful architecture.
Our 'Up Close & Personal' approach is about shifting from sightseeing to feeling the city. We’ve seen too many people live in Delhi for a decade and still not know the stories behind the Town Hall or the specific history of the spice markets in Khari Baoli.
We keep our groups small for a reason—it’s the only way to have real conversations. Whether we are cycling past the Red Fort or walking through the shade of Lodhi Garden, the goal is to make you feel like a local, not a visitor.
- Slow Travel, Real Stories: We don’t just read off placards. Our tour leaders are locals who know the city’s quirks, its best chaat spots, and its forgotten history.
- Safety & Logistics: We handle everything. From tuning the bikes before you arrive to keeping a sharp eye on traffic, we manage the chaos so you can enjoy the calm.
- The Vibe: It’s casual, safe, and always fun. Expect chai breaks that last a little longer than planned, impromptu photos, and stories about local legends you won't find in any guidebook.
If you’ve ever looked at a crowded Delhi street and wondered what lies beneath the noise, join us. Let’s find out together.
Delhi By Cycle
We started this madness back in 2009 because we felt Delhi needed to be experienced, not just rushed through. We’re a team of storytellers and cyclists who believe the best way to see the capital is one pedal stroke—or one step—at a time.
