This collection brings together the crisp, natural texture of linen and the quiet lustre of silk. Designed for ease and grace, these sarees transition effortlessly from day events to evening gatherings.

About Aadya: The Silk & Linen Edit

Because these are silk-linen blends, they possess a specific weight—heavy enough to drape gracefully, yet breathable enough for all-day comfort. Unlike pure silks that can feel stifling in our climate, this blend offers a matte finish that catches the light without being overwhelming. Each piece features my signature generous pallu, which I design to contrast with the body, making them just as suitable for a formal work event as they are for a festive celebration.

The Aadya Edit is a meditation on the interplay of texture and light. By weaving linen with silk, I create a fabric that avoids the slippery fragility of pure silk while maintaining its regal presence. This makes the sarees particularly resilient; they hold their pleats well and do not require constant adjustment, allowing you to move through your day with confidence.

When we select the threads for this collection, the focus is on the raw, natural fibre. The resulting weave has a slight irregularity, a characteristic of hand-loomed cloth, that adds character to the drape. You will find that these sarees soften with every wear, becoming more comfortable and personal over time.

For those visiting my studio on MG Road, I often suggest styling these pieces with crisp, architectural blouses to play off the texture of the linen. If you are concerned about maintenance, these weaves are relatively low-maintenance, requiring only standard dry cleaning to preserve the Zari work and the integrity of the fibre blend. Whether you are choosing a deep emerald for a night out or a soft mauve for a morning ritual, these pieces are crafted to be worn, loved, and eventually passed down.
