Heirloom Tissue Sarees for the Modern Bride
I create handwoven tissue sarees that balance traditional metallic zari with contemporary silhouettes. These pieces are designed for the bride who values grace, fluid movement, and enduring style.

About The Bride's Treasury: Heirloom Tissue Sarees
My approach to tissue silk centers on the tension between the crisp, structural nature of the fabric and the fluid drape required for modern weddings. Each piece in the Syamantaka collection features a deliberate contrast, often pairing a subtle, monochromatic body with a vibrant, unexpected pallu, ensuring the saree feels distinctly modern rather than purely archival.
The Art of Tissue Jacquard
True tissue silk is defined by its ability to hold shape while retaining a translucent, delicate quality. In my studio, I work with high-density metallic Zari to create sarees that do not rely on surface embroidery for their beauty. Instead, the motifs are integrated directly into the weave, resulting in a fabric that possesses a natural, shimmering depth. This is not about heavy ornamentation but about the inherent luxury of the textile itself.
Why Choose an Heirloom Saree
When I design for a bride, I think about how the piece will age. These sarees are crafted using pure silk and genuine zari, intended to be worn for the ceremony and kept as a keepsake for years to come. The 'Syamantaka' series, for instance, focuses on the balance between traditional 'Gangajamuna' borders and bold color blocking.
The Design Process
Every piece originates from my studio on MG Road, Bengaluru. Because of the nature of these weaves, I encourage a personal consultation to discuss your vision for the event. We can explore color palettes that suit your skin tone and consider the specific texture of the tissue silk that will best suit your planned look.
- Consultation: We discuss your occasion, drape preference, and desired color story.
- Craftsmanship: All sarees include premium Pico edging, cotton inner falls, and hand-knotted tassels (kuchu) on the pallu.
- Preservation: Each saree is delivered in a rigid box designed specifically to protect the integrity of the metallic zari and silk fibers.
