Women's Cricket Coaching: Training for Competitive Success
We don't believe in participation trophies. Our women's cricket program focuses on intense, match-ready preparation for players aiming to break into MCA state circuits and national tournaments.
Congratulations to my athlete Gagana Mulkala on her debut for the Mumbai Cricket Association in the BCCI U-15 All India Women's Tournament. Here she is in the nets, preparing for the big stage.
The journey of 13-year-old Gagana. From her first session with me to becoming a part of the U-15 Mumbai Girls Probables squad, her rapid improvement is inspiring.
My player Vaibhavi Raja in action during the MCA Women's Selection Matches. She is a serious talent breaking into the competitive women's cricket circuit.
My female athlete Vaibhavi Raja is always working hard to improve her game. Here are some clips of her training in the nets and performing in matches.
A lone warrior's knock. Vaibhavi Raja scored a brilliant 73 runs off 57 balls in the Arjun Madhvi Women's Tournament, showing immense grit against a quality opposition.
Practice makes perfect. Here is Vaibhavi practicing the inside-out shot over covers in the nets, and then executing it perfectly in the Women's Quadrangular Tournament.
This is purposeful training in action. We worked with Vaibhavi on hitting over the top, and the next day she executed it perfectly in a match. She is part of the Mumbai Women's U-23 probables.
This is 16-year-old Yashvi, one of my promising female athletes, putting in the hard yards during our off-season training camp.
Celebrating the fantastic performance of my athlete Yashvi. Here she is walking off the field after leading her team to a series win with her consistent batting.
Back-to-back brilliant performances from Yashvi. She scored 110 runs on Day 1 and followed it up with 62 runs on Day 2, totaling 172 runs in the T20 series.
About Breaking Barriers: Women's Cricket
We don't just work on technique; we train for the specific pressure of the match day. If we focus on hitting the ball over the inner circle for three hours in the nets, it is because we are conditioning the player's mindset to trust that shot when the game is on the line. You will see this intensity reflected in how our athletes like Vaibhavi Raja and Gagana Mulkala execute their plans during high-stakes MCA women's selection matches.
Training for the Real Stage
Success in women's cricket requires more than just hours in the nets. At Cricket Explained, we bridge the gap between practice and professional performance. Our program is designed for girls who are serious about making the cut for Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) teams and competitive leagues like the MCA Women's League 'B' Division.
The Pathway to Selection
We provide a structured environment that mimics the demands of state-level cricket:
- Match-Conditioned Drills: We don't just hit balls. We run simulations for powerplay overs, chase scenarios, and defending totals, ensuring players have a plan for every game situation.
- Tournaments & Exposure: We prioritize involvement in key events like the BCCI U15 All India Women's Tournament and local selection matches. This isn't just about playing; it's about learning to handle the nerves of a real tournament environment.
- Mindset Training: Technical skill is only half the battle. We train players to be 'thinkers' on the field—understanding when to rotate the strike, when to attack, and how to hold their ground under pressure.
Building Grit
Whether it is Gagana Mulkala debuting for the U15 Mumbai squad or Vaibhavi Raja hitting 73 runs off 57 balls against a quality attack, the results speak for themselves. We provide the mentorship to turn raw talent into consistent, reliable performance. We are here for the girls who want to put in the work, who show up for every session, and who understand that the only way to the top is through discipline and constant improvement.
Cricket Explained
I train female cricketers with the same intensity as our top-tier male athletes. My goal is to build thinking players who don't wait for things to happen, but go out and make them happen on the field.
