Exploring Unique Art Forms in Mumbai
Need a break to just switch off and create? Whether you want to master the earthy textures of Lippon art, play with vibrant alcohol inks, or try your hand at mosaic, these workshops are the perfect space to unwind.
I also love teaching traditional Indian art. This collage shows some of the beautiful Mosaic mirrors and Lippon art nameplates that students have made in my workshops. It's a wonderful way to connect with our culture.
A little different from resin, these are Thanksgiving cards I made using alcohol ink techniques. It's a fluid and unpredictable art form that creates beautiful, vibrant patterns.
About Exploring Different Art Forms
Most people walk in worrying they aren't artistic enough, but these sessions are purely about the process rather than perfection. Whether we are meticulously placing mirrors for Lippon art or experimenting with the unpredictable flow of alcohol inks, the materials are all taken care of. I provide the step-by-step guidance, and your only job is to enjoy those few hours of calm away from your daily routine.
Art is a lot more than just the end result. When you join my workshops in Ghatkopar, the goal is to give you a genuine outlet to recharge.
We dive into a few different styles, each offering a distinct experience:
- Lippon Art & Mosaic: This is my favorite way to connect with traditional Indian crafts. It involves working with clay and mirrors to create stunning wall decor. It is tactile, grounding, and incredibly satisfying to build a pattern from scratch.
- Alcohol Ink: If you want something fluid and magical, this is it. It is unpredictable and vibrant. You learn how to control the flow on Yupo paper to create beautiful patterns, and honestly, the results are always a surprise even to me.
All my workshops are designed to be beginner-friendly. You do not need any prior experience. I supply everything, from the paints and tools to the base you'll be working on. You just bring your enthusiasm, and we work through it together in small, relaxed groups. By the end of the session, you take home your own handmade piece and, I hope, a much lighter mood. Whether you are coming solo, with a friend, or as part of a team-building activity, it is all about enjoying the process of making something with your own hands.
