Puppy Training for a Calm & Confident Home
I help you turn puppy chaos into a peaceful home routine. Learn to teach your puppy to settle, crate train properly, and handle the biting phase with reward-based methods that actually work.
We focus so much on exercise that we forget to teach our puppies the art of doing nothing. Learning to switch off and relax is a crucial skill. It prevents overstimulation and helps them be calm in new situations, like the waiting room at the vet.
Crate training shouldn't feel like a punishment. Here, I'm turning mealtime into a fun game for Ragi, teaching her that the crate is where the best things happen. She quickly learns to choose to be inside, building a positive association that prevents anxiety.
A cranky, mouthy puppy is often just a tired puppy. I teach puppies like Enzo how to switch from play mode to rest mode. With a consistent routine and management tools like tethers, he's learning to settle down and relax.
Calm behavior has to be taught. Here, Coco the Beagle is learning to stay on his bed when the doorbell rings. Instead of letting him practice rushing to the door, we give him a clear, rewarding alternative.
The secret to a calm puppy? Sleep, and lots of it. Puppies need 18-20 hours of sleep a day to process what they've learned and avoid becoming overstimulated. A well-rested puppy is a happy, focused puppy.
A crate, when introduced properly, becomes a puppy's safe space. Here, Terra is choosing to relax in her crate even with distractions around. This is the foundation for teaching a puppy to ignore chaos and remain calm.
Oreo came to us with severe play biting, a common issue for puppies who miss out on early learning with their litter. After just a few weeks of redirecting his mouthing onto toys and teaching him gentle play, he is learning to be calm with his young human.
About this collection
Most people think a puppy's energy is a breed trait, but in reality, 'hyper' behavior is often just an overtired puppy who hasn't been taught how to relax. It's not about letting them run wild until they crash; it's about actively teaching them the art of doing nothing. Whether it's settling on a mat while you're on a call or learning to snooze in a crate, I help you build these 'off-switch' moments into your daily routine.
Many new puppy parents come to me feeling exhausted because their pup is constantly nipping, jumping, or unable to sit still. This isn't because the dog is 'naughty.' It's often because they haven't been taught how to handle their own stimulation levels.
Why Routine is the Best Tool
Puppies need 18 to 20 hours of sleep a day. If they aren't getting that, they turn into little piranhas. I work with you to set up a daily rhythm that prioritizes rest, play, and mental engagement in a balanced way. When a puppy knows what to expect, they feel safer, and their behavior changes naturally.
The 'Disneyland' Crate
We never use the crate as a punishment or a 'time-out' zone. Instead, we use it as a cozy den where your puppy feels safe. I'll show you how to associate the crate with high-value treats and quiet time, so your puppy actually chooses to go inside when they need a break. This is also your best defense against accidents and household destruction.
Handling the 'Piranha' Phase
Puppy biting is usually a sign that they don't know what else to do with their mouth. Instead of just saying 'No,' we teach them that biting a toy is infinitely more rewarding than biting your hand. We use redirection and positive reinforcement to build good habits from day one, rather than trying to fix bad ones later.
We will work on:
- Doorbell manners: Teaching your dog to stay on their bed instead of rushing the door.
- Safe spaces: Using gates and pens to manage behavior when you can't watch them.
- Settling: Exercises to help your dog relax even when there is activity around them.

Confident Dogs
I'm Nivedita. I believe a well-behaved dog isn't one who blindly follows commands, but one who feels safe and secure in your home. My goal is to help you and your pup understand each other better, without any scary collars or old-school tricks.
