We know a kids' shoot runs on their schedule, not ours. That is why our sessions are built with 3 to 4 hour windows, giving us plenty of time for costume changes, feeding breaks, and letting your little one warm up to the camera so we can get those genuine smiles without any pressure.
Whether you are planning an elaborate first birthday or a relaxed pre-birthday portrait session, the goal is to capture your child’s personality exactly as it is today.
Our Approach to Birthday Photography
We distinguish between a portrait session and full-event coverage. A portrait session is focused and directed. We bring props like large teddies, colorful balloons, and slate boards to a park or your home. This allows us to handle the pacing, managing up to three costume changes while ensuring your child feels comfortable and playful throughout the 3 to 4 hours.
For birthday parties, our role changes. We blend into the crowd, covering the event for up to 5 hours. We capture the artistic details—the cake topper, the decor, the signage—before the guests arrive. During the event, we focus on candid reactions, guest interactions, and that essential cake-cutting moment. We use professional flash setups to ensure we get clear shots even in low-light banquet halls.
