Behind the Lens: How We Capture Your Wedding
Getting the perfect shot often means climbing a wall, waiting for the right light, or blending into the background. Here is a peek at how we make the magic happen.
A glimpse of me and my team in action during a pre-wedding shoot in Jaipur. We are always ready to do what it takes, like finding the best vantage point, to get that perfect shot for you.
From chasing shadows in the streets to capturing souls at the altar, this has been my journey. I am Somesh Chaurasiya, and I put my heart into telling your love story.
About Behind The Lens
We don't just stand there with a camera. To get those cinematic wedding films and candid shots you see, we often use off-camera flash setups and DJI gimbals to keep the movement fluid even in chaotic wedding crowds. Whether it's finding a vantage point in a Jaipur fort or navigating a busy baraat in Delhi, we move with the action to get the frame without ever being in your way.
People often ask how we get that 'filmy' look. It is not just about the editing. It starts with how we position ourselves during the Pheras, the Haldi, or the baraat. Our team functions like a small film unit. We carry Nikon Z series mirrorless cameras for their low-light capabilities, which is crucial for those late-night rituals where ambient light is low.
We prioritize staying unobtrusive. If you look closely at our process, you will see we favor natural light and candid movement over staged posing. For our destination shoots, we bring in drone operators for those wide, establishing shots that turn a venue into a setting.
Our approach is grounded in three things:
- Aesthetics: Using prime lenses and off-camera lighting to create depth and mood.
- Story: Using lapel mics for audio and documenting actual conversations, not just montages.
- Message: Capturing the emotions that define your relationship.
We don't just record the day. We capture the perspective. From the initial getting-ready portraits to the final Vidai, our 4-7 person crew coordinates to ensure we are covering the main event and the small, unnoticed moments happening on the sidelines.
