About Behind The Lens
When you see these behind-the-scenes shots, you are looking at my team in the middle of a live event. For your wedding, I bring a three-person crew—a candid photographer for the raw emotions, a traditional shooter for the stage formalities, and a cinematographer with a gimbal to get those smooth, cinematic angles. We do not just show up; we coordinate every move to make sure we are catching the haldi laughter or the vidai tears without ever getting in the way of your guests.
People often ask how we get those shots that look like they are straight from a film. It comes down to preparation. When we are at a ring ceremony or a sangeet, I am not just walking around clicking buttons. I am scouting lighting, checking the backdrop, and keeping an eye on the family dynamics so that I am ready when a genuine moment happens.
The Equipment
We use full-frame mirrorless cameras because they handle low-light environments, like indoor sangeet venues or dimly lit halls, without adding grain. The gimbals you see in these photos are essential; they allow us to capture stable, sweeping footage of the couple’s entry or the chaotic dance floor. It keeps the motion smooth while we stay on the move.
The Team Dynamic
For large events, it is a delicate dance. One person is dedicated to the traditional stage shots, while I am usually weaving through the crowd to find those real, unposed moments. We use off-camera flash setups—specifically softboxes—to make sure the stage lighting looks professional, not flat or harsh.
The Goal
Ultimately, we want you to have photos that feel as real as the day itself. We do not want to stage a fake moment; we want to capture the one where you are actually laughing at a joke or wiping away a tear. When you look back at these, we want you to remember exactly what you were feeling.
