About E-commerce & Catalogue Photography
I use 100mm macro lenses and focus stacking to capture every facet of your jewelry. This technical approach ensures that even the smallest diamond prongs remain perfectly sharp, while my deep etching process removes all distractions to provide a clean, high-contrast background for your e-commerce listings.
When you are selling jewelry online, your photograph is the only physical interaction a customer has with your product. My workflow for e-commerce and catalogue photography is built around accuracy and clarity. I work out of my studio in Sainik Farm, Delhi NCR, using specialized lighting setups designed to eliminate glare on metal while bringing out the fire in gemstones.
The Technical Process
- Focus Stacking: Jewelry is three-dimensional. To get the entire piece in focus from front to back, I capture multiple images at different focal points and merge them in post-production. This prevents the blurry edges that often plague macro shots.
- Deep Etching: All files are hand-clipped to remove the background, providing a pure RGB white output. This ensures your product sits cleanly on your website, whether it is for a standalone catalogue or a marketplace listing.
- Color Accuracy: Gold tones and gemstone hues are notoriously difficult to capture. I perform rigorous color grading to ensure the image on the screen matches the physical piece, reducing return rates caused by mismatched expectations.
Deliverables
I provide high-resolution JPEG and TIFF files ready for print or web. Each shot includes metal retouching to remove dust, scratches, and manufacturing marks. For larger catalogue projects, I can bring in stylists to maintain consistency across the entire collection.
