CAT6 Workstation Cabling (Supply & Install)
Scope of Work
- Cable Laying: Running CAT6 UTP copper cable from the central rack to the user workstation (approx. 30-40m avg).
- Surface Management: Routing cables through PVC casing or conduits for aesthetic concealment.
- Termination: Punching down cables into Information Outlets (I/O) at the user end and Patch Panels at the rack.
- Mounting: Secure installation of back-boxes and faceplates on walls or furniture.
Material Specifications
- Cabling: Mid-tier reliable brands like D-Link, Hikvision, or CP Plus.
- Hardware: Includes 1 RJ45 Module, 1 Faceplate, and 1 PVC Backbox per point.
- Patch Cords: Supply of factory-crimped patch cords (1m rack side, 2m user side).
Quality Assurance
- Labeling: Ferruling/Numbering on both cable ends for identification.
- Testing: End-to-end continuity testing to verify signal integrity.
- Cleanup: Removal of drilling dust and wire debris.
Network Rack Setup & Cable Dressing
Scope of Work
- Rack Mounting: Secure wall-mounting of Network Racks (Standard 4U, 6U, or 12U sizes).
- Assembly: Mounting 19-inch equipment including Switches, Patch Panels, and PDUs.
- Termination: Punching down up to 24 LAN cables into the Patch Panel with proper color coding.
Organization & Dressing
- Cable Dressing: Combing and organizing cable bundles using Velcro or Nylon ties.
- Airflow Management: Neatly grouping wires to ensure equipment stays cool and accessible.
Consumables & Handover
- Hardware: Supply of Cage Nuts, screws, and washers for equipment fixing.
- Labeling: Mapping Patch Panel ports to wall sockets (e.g., 1-24) for easy maintenance.
- Verification: Live connection check between Patch Panel and Switch.
