I do not use zircons; I use real diamonds for accents. If we are building a piece for daily use, I often suggest a hybrid construction—a 925 silver band for structural strength combined with an 18k gold top to hold the gemstone securely. It is a cost-effective way to get the look and durability of gold without the full solid-gold price tag.
