When I style a traditional ceremony, I avoid the clutter of mass-produced decor. I source authentic props like brass urlis, fresh Rajnigandha strings, and handcrafted Jali panels, balancing them against clean, contemporary backdrops. This approach ensures your event space feels sacred and personal, not like every other function you have attended.
Tradition does not have to mean outdated. My approach to ceremonial decor is about preserving the sanctity of the ritual while introducing a refined, contemporary aesthetic. I do not just put up drapes, I design a sensory experience. For a Baptism, that means cool, soothing palettes, soft florals, and personalized signage that respects the solemnity of the occasion. For an Indian traditional function like a Shreemantham or a housewarming, I move away from generic, overdone party setups.
I use authentic elements—glistening brass lamps, fresh strings of jasmine and marigold, and intricate CNC-cut Jali screens—to create a backdrop that feels grounded. I prioritize high-quality fabrics, choosing rich satins or soft georgettes that drape elegantly, rather than cheap, wrinkled material.
