Animal print is all about the details. Whether you are going for classic leopard spots or a sophisticated tortoise shell French tip, I make sure the placement, shape, and contrast are dialed in so they look high-end, not messy.
I love that animal print is never actually out of style. It is a mood. When you come into my Kirti Nagar studio, we do not just slap a sticker on your nails. We hand-paint. I use fine liners and high-pigment art gels to get the pattern density right. Too sparse and it loses the impact, too heavy and it looks busy.
Here is how I approach the most popular requests:
- Tortoise Shell: This is all about the layers of translucent amber and dark brown. It works perfectly on almond or coffin shapes where there is enough surface area to play with the depth.
- Leopard/Cheetah: I usually pair these with a neutral base like nudes or soft pinks to keep it wearable for everyday life. If you want something edgier, we can go full-on matte black for that 'main character' aesthetic.
