About Color Correction
Color correction is not just applying a new shade; it is a calculated science. I always start with a mandatory patch test to see how your hair reacts to past treatments like box dye or excessive bleach. I will never over-promise, so if your hair is too compromised, I will tell you exactly what is realistically possible to achieve safely.
Fixing hair color is one of the most technical services I offer. When you come in with a 'botched' job—like dark box dye, stubborn red pigment, or patchy highlights—the priority isn't just changing the color; it's saving the hair structure.
The Reality of Correction
Many clients ask for a total change, but if your hair has been previously treated with aggressive chemicals, it might not be safe to lift it immediately. My process is non-negotiable:
- Strand Test: We check how your current hair pigment behaves before applying any new chemicals.
- Bond Protection: I use Plex bond builders to ensure that the chemical process doesn't break the natural bonds of your hair.
- Neutralization: If you have brassy or orange tones, we don't just 'cover' them. We use complementary colors to neutralize the underlying pigments, creating a balanced, natural look.
Why Trust My Process?
I’ve seen it all—from red dye that refuses to leave to uneven bands from DIY coloring. I won't sugarcoat the process. If it takes multiple sessions to get you to your target blonde without damaging your hair, I will tell you. My goal is for you to walk out with hair that feels strong, not just looks good for a day. Whether you are dealing with a botched salon experience or a home-color mishap, we will work together to get you back to a shade you love.
