This is what a meaningful partnership looks like. We were thrilled to welcome the team from Firstsource Global to our Kings of Castle Library in Mumbai. Their hands-on help organizing books for our S.T.O.R.Y. System was invaluable, and their energy brought so much joy to the space.
Employee engagement goes beyond traditional volunteering. Here, employees from Amazon lead a hands-on science workshop at our Jungle Book Library in Pune, building working lung models and vacuum cleaners with the children. These skill-based workshops spark curiosity and create unforgettable connections.

We believe in building spaces with love and intention. This is a behind-the-scenes look at how we transform an empty room into an Imagination Haven. Every shelf built and every wall painted is for the children who will walk in and feel, perhaps for the first time, that they belong.
Our founder, Seena Jacob, shares the personal story that sparked Bookwallah. It started with the belief that the stories that brought her comfort as a child could heal others. This "why" is the driving force behind every library we build and every child we reach.
This is the moment of pure joy when new stories arrive. Thanks to the support of our partners like Parag Reads, our libraries are filled with books in regional languages, allowing children to see themselves in the stories they read. The excitement of unboxing is just the beginning of the adventure.
Our impact is measured in moments of healing and hope. In 2024 alone, we created over 33,000 healing story engagements. This isn't just a number; it represents thousands of instances of comfort, connection, and newfound imagination for children in need.

We do not just set up shelves; we implement our S.T.O.R.Y. method, a system that categorizes books to teach courage, kindness, and resilience. Whether your team is painting murals, labeling books, or leading a workshop, you are not just helping out. You are physically constructing a safe space where a child who has faced trauma might finally feel they belong.
Our work is rooted in the belief that stories are a lifeline for children who have faced difficult circumstances. Across 25 libraries and over 33,000 healing engagements in 2024, we have seen how a simple change in environment can alter a child's outlook.
When your organization partners with us, we move away from empty 'tick-box' CSR. Instead, we offer hands-on experiences that bring employees directly into the fold of our mission.
We offer three tiers of engagement:
- One-Day Library Engagement: A half-day session for up to 15 employees focused on library maintenance, mural painting, or reading circles. This is perfect for teams looking to see immediate, physical impact.
- Skill-Based Workshops: A full-day event for up to 25 employees. We match your team's unique professional skills—whether in science, art, or career guidance—to the needs of the children, creating workshops that go beyond reading.
- Full Library Adoption: An end-to-end project where your company sponsors the total renovation, furniture, and staffing of a library space for 12 months. This includes permanent signage recognizing your team's contribution.
Our programs are active in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad. Every engagement includes a 30-minute orientation on trauma-sensitive interaction and the S.T.O.R.Y. method, ensuring your team is prepared to engage with care and respect. We don't promise that every session will be perfect, but we do promise that your team will leave having seen the difference they made.
