A successful terrace setup requires space and power. I recommend having at least 10x10ft of clear floor area and a reliable power socket within 10 meters, so we can keep the fairy lights and marquee letters glowing all night without messy extension cables creating a trip hazard.

How I Set Up Your Space

When you book a terrace party, the goal is to create a cozy, enclosed feel in an open space. I usually arrive in the late afternoon to start the setup, as most of my designs—especially those with fairy lights and neon signs—work best once the sun goes down.

The Cabana and Boho Setup For romantic evenings like proposals or anniversaries, I use a 6x6ft canopy structure draped in sheer fabric. This provides that intimate feel, even on a wide-open roof. I add fairy light curtains on the backdrop and ceiling, which act as the main light source. For seating, I use low pallets with floor cushions and rugs to maintain that relaxed, boho vibe.

Adding Personal Touches If you are planning a birthday or a bachelorette, the decor shifts to be more vibrant. I use custom marquee letters for names or ages, along with balloon arches. Whether you want a specific color palette for a 25th birthday or a thematic setup for a friend, I can mix and match:

• Lighting: Neon signs ('Let's Party', 'Bride to Be') and LED par lights for a color wash.
• Balloon Art: Chrome and pastel balloons in organic garlands.
• Extras: Teepee tents, fresh or artificial rose petals, and welcome stands.
