About Sacred Ceremonies
The most important parts of your wedding ceremony, like the pheras or the anand karaj, aren't just photo ops. They are quiet, personal promises. I make sure I am positioned to get the angle without becoming a distraction, blending into the background so you can actually experience the ritual instead of performing for the camera.
Since 1984, my team and I have documented weddings across India, learning that every culture has its own rhythm. Whether it is a traditional Marathi saptapadi, a serene Sikh anand karaj, or a fusion wedding combining different rituals, I know exactly where the key moments happen.
My approach to these sacred ceremonies is simple: observe and preserve. I don't ask you to pause for photos during the rituals. Instead, I focus on the candid interactions—the way you look at each other, the small nods of approval from your elders, and the deep focus in your eyes as you exchange vows. I use cinematic equipment that is unobtrusive, ensuring that the sanctity of your ceremony is never broken by bright lights or intrusive camera setups.
I handle the technical side of the lighting and framing, so you only need to worry about being present. My goal is to capture the cultural significance of your day so clearly that when you watch the film years later, you are transported right back to that mandap or gurdwara. If you have specific rituals or family customs you want documented in detail, let me know before the date so we can plan the best angles to tell that part of your story.
