About Holistic Training: Mind & Body

A rock-steady aim requires more than just technical precision. We integrate core-strengthening exercises and targeted yoga sessions into our daily routines, because a fatigued body inevitably leads to erratic shots. You will see our shooters working on balance, breath control, and core stability long before they pick up an air rifle or pistol.

At Best Shot Shooting Academy, we treat shooting as a high-intensity athletic discipline. Whether you are training for school-level CBSE competitions or national trials, the physical demands are real. A 10m Air Rifle match involves holding a heavy firearm with absolute stillness for up to an hour. If your core is weak, your stability suffers, and your score reflects that.

Why Physical Conditioning Matters

Our Hulimavu facility focuses on building the athlete from the ground up. We incorporate morning runs to improve cardiovascular endurance and gym sessions designed specifically to build core stability. These are not general workouts; they are targeted training blocks that improve stamina, allowing our students to maintain their posture and focus throughout long match days.

The Yoga Connection

We rely on yoga as our primary tool for mindfulness and recovery. Practicing postures like the tree pose (Vrikshasana) improves your physical balance, which is essential for a steady shooting stance. More importantly, our guided meditation sessions help athletes reset their minds after high-pressure drills. This mental clarity is what separates a good shooter from a champion.

Training at Best Shot

Our training calendar balances the intensity of the range with the necessity of rest and recovery. We hold dedicated sessions for cool-down exercises and stretching to aid muscle recovery and prevent injury, ensuring our students can train consistently over the long term. By treating the mind and body as one system, we prepare our shooters to handle the nerves of state and national competitions with calm confidence.
