From total beginners conquering fear to seasoned climbers seeking their next project, this is the community behind Bangalore’s climbing scene. See who climbs, why they started, and what keeps us coming back to the rocks every weekend.

Meet Senthil, a sports photographer with a fear of heights. He joins our workshops to push his limits, capture the action, and be part of the excitement. His story is one of facing fears head-on.

Meet Akash, who says his climbing life had a "huge difference" after joining BCI. For him, our community turned climbing into a "crazy" and exciting journey he can't get enough of.

Meet Utkarsh, an adventure sports filmmaker who finds the Bangalore climbing scene to have the "most welcoming and caring community." For him, the crew matters most.

About Meet the BCI Tribe

When you are on the wall with us, you are never alone. You will hear us yelling 'Aale aale!'—which means 'Go for it'—from the ground below to cheer you on. It does not matter if you have never touched a rock before or if you are a seasoned climber; we are here to support your movement, teach you the knots, and share stories after the session.

Our community is a wild mix of people. You will find adventure filmmakers, journalists, martial artists, mothers climbing with their children, and complete novices who wandered into a workshop just to see what it is about. We are not a faceless gym or a structured sports academy. We are a collective.

We built this tribe because we believe climbing is for everyone. Safety is the foundation of everything we do—we drill the basics like belaying and knot-craft until they are second nature—but the culture is just as important. Whether it is a coffee with ghee before a session or laughing about a tough project at the crag, the connections made here last longer than the day itself.

We are actively developing new routes around Bangalore, cleaning rock faces, and creating new playgrounds for everyone to enjoy. We want to demystify the outdoors. If you have been looking for a reason to leave the indoor gym or a safe way to tackle your fear of heights, this is it. Come out to the crag, meet the family, and see why we keep coming back to these granite walls every weekend.
