About Intro to Rock Climbing Workshops
We provide all the gear and technical supervision you need, so you can focus on the movement. Whether you are worried about your grip or just want to know how to trust the rope, our instructors and fellow climbers will be right there with a 'Aale aale!'—which is our local way of saying 'go for it'—to help you reach the top.
Real Rock, Real People
Forget the plastic holds of an indoor gym. These workshops are all about getting you onto the natural granite crags around Bangalore, like the scenic Athrani Gudda or Gethnaa. We believe that learning on real rock builds a different kind of confidence. You will learn the basics—how to tie a figure-eight knot, how to communicate with your belayer, and how to trust your climbing shoes on friction-heavy granite.
Safety First, Always
We take safety seriously so you can focus on having fun. Our team is made up of experienced volunteers who are passionate about teaching newcomers. We provide top-quality UIAA-certified equipment, including helmets, harnesses, and dynamic ropes. We maintain a high ratio of volunteers to participants, meaning you get personalized guidance on your technique and immediate feedback on your safety commands.
Who Is This For?
If you have never climbed before, this is the perfect starting point. Our community includes everyone from kids and trekkers to complete fitness beginners. We have also hosted successful all-women workshops to create a comfortable, empowering space for new climbers. You do not need to be a professional athlete to join—you just need the curiosity to try something new.
What to Expect
Expect a full day outdoors, typically from 7 AM to 4 PM. Beyond the climbing itself, this is a day for making friends. You will share food, swap stories in the shade of banyan trees, and learn what it means to be part of the climbing family. Bring a water bottle, comfortable athletic wear, and a willingness to be a beginner. We will handle the rest.
