How It Works: My Hair Patch Fitting & Styling Process
Curious about how a hair patch actually gets fitted? Here is exactly what happens when you visit my Gurugram studio for your transformation.
The process begins with preparing the scalp. Here, I am shaving the area and applying a scalp protector to ensure the hair patch attaches securely and comfortably.
A clean scalp is essential. This video shows the head wash and preparation stage before we apply the new hair system for a perfect fit.
This is a demonstration of the hair clipping system. You can see how the clips on the patch are securely fastened to the client's existing hair for a stable, removable solution.
Watch the complete process in this clip. From shaving the scalp to placing the hair patch and giving it a final stylish cut, you can see the transformation happen step by step.
This video shows the key stages of my hair fixing service. I start with the client's bald scalp, apply the hair patch, and then finish with a professional haircut to blend it seamlessly.
About How It Works: The Fitting & Styling Process
The secret isn't just the patch, it is the preparation. When you come in, I start by shaving the target area and using a scalp protector to keep your skin safe. Without a clean, shaved base, the glue will not sit flush, and you will not get that real scalp look. Once the system is set, the haircut is where the magic happens. Blending the patch hair with your existing hair is what makes it invisible to others.
Getting a hair patch is not just about placing a system on your head. Whether you choose a high-end BMW system or a standard monofilament patch, the process needs to be precise to avoid itching and ensure it looks natural.
The Fitting Steps
- Scalp Prep: I first shave and clean the area. This is non-negotiable. If there is leftover hair or oil, the adhesive (bonding) won't stick properly, and the patch will lift.
- Template Matching: I shape the base of your chosen hair system to your exact baldness grade. We want it to sit flat and feel like a second skin.
- Attachment: For bonding, I use medical-grade glue or tape for a secure, long-term hold. If you prefer a removable solution, I use clips. Clipping is great if you want to take your hair off at night or before a shower.
- Blending Cut: This is the most important part. I cut and style your natural hair to match the density and flow of the new hair system. Without this blend, anyone can tell the difference.
Bonding vs. Clipping
Many clients ask me which is better. Bonding gives you the most natural, 'set it and forget it' feeling for weeks at a time. It is perfect if you are active or don't want to worry about your hair daily. Clipping is for those who prefer to keep their scalp clean daily or just want a temporary look. I always discuss your lifestyle before we fix anything, so you pick what you can actually manage.
