About Earthy & Rustic Styles
For these sessions, I rely on natural materials like wicker, jute, and linen to keep the aesthetic timeless. Because we keep the palette neutral, the focus stays entirely on your baby’s delicate features rather than loud, distracting props, creating images that look just as good in a physical album as they do on a wall.
There is a specific reason why earthy and rustic themes remain a favorite for newborn photography. By using elements like hand-woven baskets, wood, and dried pampas grass, we create an environment that feels grounded and gentle. This is crucial for newborns because it mimics a calm, natural space, which helps them settle better during the session.
At my studio in Sector 65, Gurgaon, I have a dedicated collection of props specifically for this style. We steer clear of neon colors or busy patterns. Instead, we use soft textures like wool, muslin, and muslin wraps that feel comfortable against a baby's skin. The lighting is kept soft to highlight the details of your baby’s face, hands, and feet without creating harsh shadows.
These sessions are designed for parents who want keepsakes that don't look dated in a few years. Whether it is a baby sleeping in a wicker pram or nestled among dried wheat and cotton, the result is a clean, classic portrait. During the shoot, we move at your baby's pace—if they need a feed or a cuddle, we take a break. The goal is to capture that quiet, early magic of your little one without any rush.
