Maa Durga Hand-Painted Wooden Portraits & Decor
Bring home the strength and grace of Maa Durga with these vibrant, hand-painted wooden portraits.
A video revealing my finished Maa Durga painting on a wooden slice. I love how the rich red and gold colors contrast with the natural wood, and the added embellishments make her feel truly divine.
A cute illustration of Goddess Durga with her lion, painted on a 4-inch wooden coaster. This small piece is perfect for a desk or a small altar, bringing faith and strength into your personal space.
Another look at the hand-painted Durga coaster, showing how it looks from a different angle with some greenery. It comes with a golden stand for easy display.
About The Divine Feminine: Maa Durga
I hand-paint these pieces on natural mango wood slices, preserving the rustic bark edges for an authentic, earthy feel. To make Maa Durga’s jewelry truly pop, I use 3D Kundan stones and tiny mirrors, creating a tactile texture that reflects light beautifully. Each piece is finished with a double coat of gloss varnish, so it stays protected from dust and humidity in your mandir.
Whether you need a compact 4-inch piece for your desk or something larger to anchor your meditation space, every artwork is a meditative process for me. I do not use prints. Instead, I build layers of high-pigment acrylics and gouache to capture that balance of fierce strength and divine compassion.
Why Hand-Painted Wooden Art?
- Unique Textures: Every mango wood slice has its own grain pattern, making your piece one-of-a-kind.
- Durability: The gloss varnish layer means these are not just for show; they are made to last as part of your daily prayers.
- Festive Ready: These are beautiful as decor during Navratri or as a thoughtful gift for someone special.
If you have a specific vision—perhaps a scene depicting one of the 9 Shakti Peeths or a specific aesthetic for your home—I am happy to collaborate. Just send me a message and we can discuss the sizing and design. Since each piece is hand-painted from scratch, please plan for a little lead time so I can give the artwork the attention it deserves.
