Spiritual Leaf Carvings and Custom Nature Art
I carve spiritual symbols and portraits onto treated Peepal leaves, creating delicate pieces that come alive when held to the light. Every leaf is hand-cut with patience to capture the details of Adi Yogi, Kedarnath, or your own loved ones.
This carving of Adi Yogi is a piece I am very proud of. The natural veins of the Peepal leaf complement the design, and holding it against the sky creates a powerful, meditative image.
A video showcasing my Adi Yogi leaf art. I move the leaf to show how the image changes with the background and light, demonstrating the dynamic quality of this unique art form. Har Har Mahadev.
I carved the iconic Kedarnath Temple into this leaf. It is my way of paying homage to sacred architecture, capturing its essence in a small, natural canvas that you can hold in your hand.
Jai Jagannath. Here is a simple yet devotional carving of Lord Jagannath's face. The dark leaf provides a beautiful contrast, making the features stand out clearly against the bright sky.
This video shows my Lord Jagannath leaf carving. It's a simple piece, but it carries a lot of spiritual feeling for me. This is a popular design for those looking for devotional art.
The 'Om' symbol is a powerful and universal sign of peace. I carved it here to be framed by the natural structure of the Peepal leaf, creating a harmonious piece of spiritual artwork.
This is a short compilation showing the variety in my leaf art. It includes spiritual symbols like Lord Jagannath, architectural carvings like Kedarnath, and custom portraits.
Another look at the different kinds of leaf art I create. Each piece is a product of many hours of hard work and dedication to this delicate craft.
About Spiritual Leaf Carvings
Every leaf goes through a careful drying and preservation process so the veins stay strong and the art does not crumble. I treat each one so you can frame it or gift it without worrying about it decaying over time.
The Art of the Leaf
Carving on a Peepal leaf is pure meditation for me. It is not just about the design, it is about respecting the leaf's natural structure. I spend hours with a scalpel, carefully cutting away negative space to reveal images like the Kedarnath temple or the calm face of Adi Yogi. Because these are natural canvases, no two pieces are exactly the same.
My Process
-
Selection: I hand-pick mature Peepal leaves with strong, healthy veins.
-
Preservation: The leaves are treated and cured first. If I try to carve a fresh green leaf without prep, it just tears. This curing is what gives the artwork longevity.
-
The Carving: Using a fine scalpel, I follow the natural lines of the leaf to create portraits or symbols.
-
Finishing: Once the art is done, I seal it. Most of my clients choose a double-glass floating frame, which lets the light pass through and makes the carving pop.
Why Choose This?
Whether you want a spiritual piece for your home or a custom portrait for a gift, leaf art is different from standard prints. It is organic, fragile, and deeply personal. If you have a specific deity or a portrait in mind, send me the photo and we can discuss if it will work on a leaf.
