Dance with Soul: Our Teaching Philosophy at Arnav Amaze
We believe dance isn't just about memorizing steps—it's about feeling the rhythm. Our philosophy focuses on connecting your mind and body, whether you're a beginner finding your feet or an advanced dancer mastering expression.
After a hard dance session, the cool-down is where the body thanks you. This is a vital part of our classes, helping students to stretch, breathe, and find a moment of calm.
Here, our instructor breaks down a wave movement for our younger students. We focus on exercises that improve motor skills and body coordination, making the learning process effective and fun.
We teach dance by breaking it down into different levels of movement, from standing to sitting and floor work. This method, demonstrated here by instructor Sumith, makes complex choreography easier to understand and master.
In our semi-classical workshops, it's not just about choreography, it's about feeling the poetry of the song. Here, the instructor explains how to connect with the emotion and intention behind every step.
A key piece of advice for all dancers: don't rush. It's better to master four or five steps with accuracy and feeling than to hurry through a whole sequence. Quality over quantity is our mantra.
Dance is not just about physical readiness; your mind must be ready too. In this semi-classical contemporary blend workshop, I guide students to connect with their emotions and the story of the music first.
About this collection
When we teach, we strip away the pressure to get the choreography perfect on day one. We use a level-based system—from floor work to standing sequences—that breaks down complex moves into manageable pieces. This helps you focus on coordination and motor skills first, so you actually build muscle memory rather than just rushing through the routine.
At Arnav Amaze, our philosophy is simple: dance should be a relief, not another item on your to-do list. When you walk into our BEL Layout or Annapurneshwari Nagar studios, you won't find us rushing through a syllabus like it's a test. Instead, we focus on 'intentions' and 'level-based learning.'
For our students, this means we break down complex sequences into physical levels—from floor work and seated transitions to standing choreography. It helps you focus on coordination and motor skills, removing the intimidation factor that often comes with learning new moves. In our semi-classical and contemporary workshops, we often emphasize 'Mute Dance' sessions. By temporarily removing the music, you are forced to observe the instructor’s body and your own movement, which builds an incredible sense of timing and focus.
We also know that life in Bangalore can be high-pressure. That’s why our cool-down sessions are just as important as the warm-up. Whether you’re here for Kathak, Bollywood, or a fitness flow, our goal is for you to walk out feeling lighter than when you walked in. It’s about building a community where you can shed your daily stress, express yourself through movement, and just vibe with the rhythm. Come, let’s find your rhythm together.
Arnav Amaze
We are Vasantha and Vinutha, and we built Arnav Amaze to be more than just a studio. We believe that whether you’re learning Kathak or Bollywood, the art you create is a reflection of your own joy. Our teachers are here to guide you, not just to show steps, but to help you find the magic in your own rhythm.
