Bespoke Sustainable Architecture (New Build)
Core Architectural Scope
- Site & Ecology Audit: Study of plot orientation and local flora/fauna to design a "habitat" integrated with the building.
- Design to Detail: Iterative process from hand sketches to 3D visualization, covering floor plans, elevations, and sections.
- Structural Sculpting: Design of non-standard elements like cantilevered spiral stairs, multi-height volumes, and brick vaults.
- Vastu-Compliant Planning: Modern integration of Vastu principles such as Brahmasthan placement and water bodies.
Sustainability & Systems
- Bio-Diverse Habitat: Integration of bird nests, insect-friendly water bodies, and indigenous planting plans.
- Water Loop Design: Schematics for rainwater harvesting via slanted roofs and greywater recycling for irrigation.
- Passive Thermal Engineering: Facade design using stone rubble or heat-reflective mosaics to naturally cool the building.
- Renewable Energy: Aesthetically integrated solar panel structures like spiraling roof mounts.
Material & Supervision
- Ethno-Modern Palette: Specs for raw materials like exposed brick, local stone, and pigmented concrete.
- Site Mentorship: Periodic visits to guide masons on complex execution techniques like stone pointing or curved concrete.
Structural Renovation & Adaptive Reuse
Structural Intervention
- Assessment & Modification: Evaluating load-bearing capacities to add new floors or volumes like double-height brick vaults.
- Surgical Demolition: Strategic planning to strip the building to its skeleton while preserving salvageable materials.
- Material Upcycling: Bespoke design of elements like doors or stairs using reclaimed wood or debris from the site.
Spatial Re-Engineering
- Volume Manipulation: Cutting existing slabs to create double-height spaces, light wells, or inserting sculptural skylights.
- Circulation Redesign: Replacing standard stairs with statement sculptural pieces like metal spirals or floating concrete.
- Micro-Climate Creation: Retrofitting courtyards or indoor garden pockets to improve ventilation.
Design Management
- Vastu Corrections: Re-aligning energy through strategic placement of new openings.
- Legacy Integration: Blending the existing structure with new metal and raw aesthetic additions.
Ecological Interior Architecture
Interior Civil Design
- Volumetric Changes: Re-imagining the room shell with curved walls, civil niches, and exposed structural arches.
- Civil Furniture: Design of fixed seating, beds, or counters using masonry, concrete, or stone.
- Fenestration: Redesigning window openings to frame views and maximize daylight.
Material & Finishes
- Raw Palette: Specifications for finishes like exposed wire-cut brick, oxide flooring, terrazzo, or rough-cut stone.
- Indoor Landscape: Integration of breathable zones using specific potting mixes and indigenous indoor plants.
- Sustainable Cooling: Use of thermal mass materials inside to regulate temperature naturally.
About Sustainable Residential Architecture
Why I Do What I Do
I’m all about harmonious living. That means homes where humans, animals, plants, and even insects get a seat at the table. My style’s more raw and honest than the usual polished stuff. I want spaces that feel alive - not just another pretty box.
Making Sustainability Real
No green-washing here. I focus on:
- Adaptive reuse homes
- Breathing new life into old wood, stone, and foundations
- Designing for local ecosystems, not just people
I start by studying the site’s trees, birds, bugs, and everything else that lives there. Buildings should fit into the landscape, not fight it. Solar panels are cool, but real sustainability is bigger than that.
How I Design & Build
My approach is art-first and hands-on. Sketches, not just software. Ethno-modern house design is my thing - mixing Indian materials and forms with clean, sculptural lines. You might see rustic stone next to sleek curves, or rooms that open up with big, dramatic skylights.
I work on new builds and renovations, all over Delhi NCR and Hyderabad.
Nature, Always
Nature isn’t just outside - it’s part of the home.
- Building around existing trees (like making a Peepul tree the main entrance)
- Creating habitats with water bodies, earthen pots for birds, and indigenous landscaping for residences
- Partnering with ecological gardeners for native plant species
Smarter Systems
Passive cooling architecture is in every project. Stone walls, cross-ventilation, and natural light keep things comfortable. Rainwater harvesting and closed-loop water systems mean we reuse every drop, often with quirky touches (sometimes a pipe is a handrail).
Vastu, If You Want
I can weave Vastu principles into the design, so the space works for you and stays true to my philosophy.
If you want a place that’s genuinely sustainable and feels like it belongs, that’s what I do.

My Story
I’m a Delhite through and through, vegan, pet dad, and always rooting for the planet. Architecture for me? It starts with messy sketches, inspired by my travels—Rajasthan’s vibe, stone walls, all that. I want homes to be more than just for humans. Birds, bugs, plants—sabko jagah chahiye (everyone deserves a space). With Archiopteryx, I’m chasing that dream of truly harmonious living, where every being finds a corner.
My Work
Bespoke Architecture & Interiors - I design new homes, apartments, and renovations, focusing on unique spaces for harmonious living.
Ethno-modern Aesthetic - My style blends clean, modern looks with vernacular stone walls and local techniques—nothing cookie-cutter.
Sustainability at the Core - Repurposing materials like upcycled ancestral wood, using local resources, and designing energy-efficient, Vaastu-compliant spaces.
Designing for All Beings - I study local flora and fauna to create animal-friendly architecture—houses that welcome birds, insects, and plants.
Art-centric Design - Each project is an iterative process, with sculptural staircase design and artistic touches throughout.
