Traditional & Festive Makeup
I create soft, dewy makeup looks for naming ceremonies, festivals, and traditional events, designed to complement your saree and jewellery without hiding your natural glow.
A closer look at the makeup for this traditional naming ceremony. I used warm, earthy tones on the eyes and a complementary lip color to harmonize with the client's classic gold temple jewellery.
With her eyes closed, you can see the soft, metallic shimmer on the lids. This adds a touch of glamour to the look while maintaining an overall subtle and sophisticated feel.
A full-length portrait showing how the makeup, hairstyle, and saree come together for a complete, elegant look. The dewy skin finish gives her a healthy, natural glow.
This photo captures the client's beautiful smile and the flawless finish of the makeup. My priority is always to ensure my clients feel like the best version of themselves.
The complete look for the naming ceremony. The makeup is balanced to look beautiful in person and in photographs, celebrating the client's personal style.
Another view of the eye makeup, showing the gentle shimmer and clean blending. This technique enhances the eyes without looking heavy, perfect for a daytime family function.
A portrait that showcases the final look. The makeup is soft and subtle, designed based on the client's preferences to ensure she felt comfortable and beautiful on this special day.
About Traditional & Festive Makeup
When prepping for naming ceremonies or traditional family functions, the biggest challenge is balancing heavy gold jewellery with makeup that doesn't overwhelm your face. I use a dewy, HD-finish base that photographs beautifully without feeling like a mask, keeping your skin breathable even during long rituals.
My Approach to Festive Glam
For traditional events, my priority is keeping the makeup authentic to you. I avoid the heavy, cakey look that can often ruin festive photographs. Instead, I focus on a soft, glowing base using professional HD products from brands like MAC and Kryolan.
What Goes Into Your Look
- Base: A natural, dewy finish that is sweat-resistant and holds up well under stage lights or outdoor photography.
- Eyes: I keep the eye makeup balanced—shimmer or matte tones that harmonize with your specific jewellery, whether it is gold temple sets or antique silver.
- Hairstyling: Included in my festive packages are basic heat styling, blow-dries, and soft curls, ensuring your hair stays neat while you manage ceremony rituals.
- Draping: Since many of my clients wear heavy Kanjeevarams or designer sarees, I include professional pleating and pinning. I ensure the pallu is secure so you can move around freely without worrying about your outfit.
Planning Your Session
Most festive and party makeovers take about 90 minutes. I can travel to your home or venue anywhere in Bengaluru, which saves you the stress of traveling in traffic while getting ready. If you also need jewellery or a last-minute outfit rental to match your look, I have a collection at my studio that we can coordinate beforehand.
I prefer to have a quick chat about your outfit and the event timeline before we start, so I know exactly what shade of lipstick or style of liner will suit your mood and the occasion.
