About Storytelling & Portrait Mehendi
Unlike standard patterns, these portraits are hand-sketched based on photos you provide of you and your partner. Because these designs are complex, the application takes longer, usually 7 to 9 hours, and we set aside a full-day block. We also make sure the portrait style matches your vision during a mandatory trial session at your home before the final day.
When we discuss a storytelling design, we are planning more than just a pattern. We are mapping out your wedding journey on your arms. I incorporate specific scenes that matter to you, whether it is the exact setup of your varmala ceremony, the doli, or even the venue architecture. For portrait work, I require clear photos of you and your partner to get the facial features right. This is why the mandatory trial is non-negotiable. It gives me a chance to practice the sketch, and you get to see how my henna stain develops on your skin.
My Technique
I use a triple-sifted henna powder mix for these designs. This finer texture allows for the sharp, clean lines required for human figures and architectural details, which a regular cone might not achieve.
Scope and Logistics
This package is my most intensive service. It involves one lead artist and one to two assistants, ensuring that we do not rush the process while maintaining the density of the Rajasthani motifs that frame the portraits.
I am based in Noida and cover all of Delhi NCR. If you have a destination wedding, I travel to Mathura, Jaipur, and other cities. Let us discuss your specific requirements so we can plan your look.
