Behind the Lens of an FPV Drone Pilot in Delhi
Get a closer look at the gear, the process, and the obsession with capturing the perfect angle—from the streets of Delhi to locations across India.
This is a glimpse into my daily life as a drone pilot. It shows the whole process, from checking my custom FPV rig and GoPro to launching from a high-rise balcony for that perfect city shot.
On location for an event shoot. My drone is always by my side, ready for the next flight. This photo captures a candid moment of me monitoring the feed, ensuring I get the perfect shot.
Taking a moment between flights during a wedding shoot in Goa. As a traveling drone pilot, my office can be anywhere from a desert to a beach, and my FPV controller is always in hand.
About The Pilot's Life
People often ask if I show up with a massive production team, but most of the time it is just me and my gear. Whether I am launching from a high-rise balcony or standing on a beach in Goa, I am manually inspecting my custom FPV rigs before every takeoff. If you see me tapping away at my controller, I am likely checking the gyro stabilization or tweaking my settings because getting buttery-smooth flight is not magic, it is just an obsession with the details.
My Life, My Drone
Flying isn't just about pointing a camera and hitting record. I live by a simple creed: if I can’t fly, I’m not there. My FPV rigs are custom-built, not off-the-shelf, because standard drones cannot handle the tight gaps or the high-speed tracking I specialize in for weddings and events.
The Process
When I arrive at a venue, I do a full walkthrough of the flight lines, checking for hazards like wires, trees, or fans. I use 3.5-inch Cinewhoops for safety when I am flying near guests, and 5-inch freestyle rigs when I need speed and range.
Why FPV Hits Different
Regular drone footage is great, but FPV captures the feeling of being inside the scene. It is why I can swoop through a wedding mandap during a baraat or track a car in the desert without losing the sense of motion. It is all about creating those "kya view dikha hai" moments that make people pause and ask how I got the shot.
Traveling for Shoots
I am based in Delhi, but I have taken my gear to Kashmir, Sri Lanka, and Goa. I am ready to travel anywhere in India for a project. If you have a vision and need a pilot who treats your event like his own, I am ready to fly.
