Stage and Reception Backdrops
From intimate home ceremonies to grand reception halls across Mumbai, we design stage backdrops that match your specific theme and budget.
An elegant stage setup for a reception or engagement, featuring a white chaise lounge against a backdrop of pink curtains. The look is completed with a floral arch and matching flower-wrapped pillars.
This is a modern rustic stage design with white slatted back panels and asymmetrical floral arches. The arrangement uses plenty of green foliage and white flowers for a fresh, contemporary look.
A romantic and warm stage setting perfect for an anniversary or reception. The design uses an L-shaped floral arrangement of red and white roses, complemented by numerous candles for soft lighting.
This behind-the-scenes photo shows the scale of a wedding reception stage I was setting up in a hall. The design features a floral arch over the main sofa and multiple floral arrangements on pedestals.
A classic and regal stage backdrop featuring a gold and white ornate sofa. The floral arch and hanging flower balls against a golden curtain create a traditional and festive look suitable for any ceremony.
For a dazzling effect, I created this stage backdrop using a full wall of fairy lights behind sheer pink curtains. This setup is perfect for evening events like a sangeet or reception.
This is a traditional backdrop design often used for poojas or pre-wedding ceremonies. It features hanging strings of jasmine and mogra flowers (kaleeras) against a white ruffled curtain.
About this collection
When we design a stage, we look at your venue height and lighting first. A common issue is not having enough clearance for certain backdrops, so we often adjust our floral arches or curtain layouts to ensure the setup does not look cramped. We prioritize building sturdy structures that will not wobble, especially when many guests come up to the stage for photos throughout the night.
We have been setting up stages in Mumbai since 2003, and we know that every venue is different. Whether you are working with a small living room for a home pooja or a large banquet hall, the goal remains the same: creating a clean, professional focal point.
Our approach depends on the event type:
- Traditional Ceremonies: For events like Dohale Jevan or Haldi, we focus on cultural elements. This often involves traditional Sankheda swings, marigold strings (genda), and Zari-bordered drapes. We balance fresh flowers with high-quality artificial ones to keep the look lush without the setup wilting halfway through the function.
- Modern Receptions: For weddings and engagements, we often use shimmer sequin walls, geometric frames, and modern lighting. We keep the structures modular so they can be adapted to the space available.
We handle the logistics entirely. Most of our standard stage setups take about 90 to 120 minutes to complete. We bring our own LED Par cans for lighting and ensure all wiring is tucked away behind the backdrop for safety. If your venue has specific rules about drilling into walls or floor space limits, let us know early so we can plan a freestanding frame setup that fits perfectly.
