I don't just stand on stage and talk at people. My hosting style is built on roaming through the crowd, sharing the microphone, and turning your guests from observers into active participants in your celebration.

Handing the microphone to a guest in the audience. I believe in giving everyone a chance to share their wishes and stories, making the event more interactive.

Walking through the crowd, engaging with guests directly. This personal touch helps create a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Sharing the mic with a family member on stage. It's moments like these, where guests become part of the show, that are truly memorable.

A candid moment of laughter with a guest. My goal is to build a genuine rapport with the family and friends of the couple.

A full length shot of me on stage, but my focus is always on the audience. I am constantly scanning the room, reading the energy and engaging with people.

Another angle showing my on stage presence. Even when I'm on the stage, my energy is directed towards the crowd, inviting them to participate.

About Engaging With Your Guests

I don't believe in keeping the host tethered to the stage. For almost all my interactive sets, I rely on a wireless microphone to move directly through the crowd. Whether it is pulling an uncle into a dance-off, handing the mic to a cousin for a surprise speech, or facilitating a tug-of-war game during a Haldi, I am constantly scanning the room to draw people into the action. If you want a host who actually gets on the floor with your guests, that is exactly what I do.

Bridging the Gap Between Stage and Crowd

Many hosts prefer the safety of the stage, but I find the real magic happens in the middle of the room. My hosting philosophy is rooted in one idea: a wedding is not a show you watch, but an experience you participate in. By physically moving through the space, I break the invisible wall between the formal proceedings and the family.

My Approach to Engagement

  • The Roaming Microphone: Instead of broadcasting from a distance, I come to your guests. This allows for candid, hilarious, and heartwarming moments—like catching a guest's reaction to a Sangeet performance or impromptu banter during a shoe game.
  • Inclusive Fun: I make it a point to involve everyone. From the 'ladki wale' to the 'ladke wale', I use friendly, high-energy Hindi prompts to encourage participation. My goal is to get everyone, from grandparents to the youngest cousins, cheering and joining in.
  • Adaptable Energy: For a formal Sangeet, my engagement might be witty and polished. For a Haldi or a Baraat, I turn up the 'jhalli' (goofy/fun) energy to match the chaos and joy. I coordinate directly with your DJ and dhol players to make sure my interactions always sync perfectly with the music cues.

What to Expect

When you hire me for guest engagement, you aren't just getting an anchor. You are getting a facilitator who reads the room's energy in real time. If the crowd is feeling shy, I know how to break the ice with games or lighthearted jokes. If they are ready to party, I step up the tempo. I am here to ensure that by the end of the night, every guest feels like they played a part in your big day.

Hey, I’m Aashna. I believe that hosting isn't just about talking; it’s about listening to the pulse of the room. When I'm in the crowd, I’m not just an anchor—I’m a facilitator of your family’s laughter and stories.
