I don’t just stand on stage. For family events, I’m the guy roaming the floor, getting your chachu to answer funny riddles, and making sure the couple doesn't feel awkward during their Roka. My job is to bridge the gap between generations, so everyone—from the kids to the elders—is actually laughing and participating, not just sitting in their seats.
When it comes to family, the vibe has to be right. A Roka shouldn't feel like a formal meeting, and an anniversary shouldn't just be a series of mic announcements. My style is 'Host and Dost'—I’m the friend you hired to make sure the flow is smooth and the humor is sharp.
I mix Hindi, English, and a bit of Mumbai slang to keep the energy up for all age groups. I run inter-generational games where even the quietest uncle ends up on the dance floor. Whether I'm hosting a 50th birthday or an intimate naming ceremony, I focus on the people in the room.
I also handle the practical side so you don't have to stress. If the ceremony runs long or the flow gets messy, I step in to manage the timeline, direct guests to the buffet, or introduce the next performance.
