The Memory Keeper: A Decade Behind the Lens
I swapped my corporate career for a camera over ten years ago to focus on stories, not just portraits. Here is a glimpse into why I do what I do.
This is me, back in 2016, a few years after I took the leap to pursue photography full time. I started this journey with the name 'The Memory Keeper,' and that mission still drives everything I do. My goal has always been to create more than just pretty pictures; it is to create proof of your story.
This collage marks five years of my professional photography business, a milestone that fills me with so much gratitude. Each photo represents a story, a connection, and a couple who trusted me with their most precious memories. It is a reminder of why I started and the incredible privilege I have to document love for a living.
About My Story: The Memory Keeper
Ten years ago, I walked away from a desk job to chase something that felt more permanent: the magic of a real, unposed moment. I stopped looking for the perfect angle and started looking for the connection between people. Whether it is a wedding or a quiet family afternoon, I shoot with the intent that these images will be your history in twenty years, not just digital content for a social feed today.
When I started, I called myself 'The Memory Keeper' because I realized that a photograph is essentially a time capsule. It is proof of where we come from and who we belong to. That philosophy has shaped every session since. As a Nikon Ambassador, I have access to top-tier gear, but that is secondary to the trust I build with my clients.
Most of my work happens in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, moving between studio lights and outdoor shoots. I do not do stiff, mannequin-like poses. If you feel awkward, that is my cue to step in and help you relax. My goal is to capture the 'real'—the way you look at your partner, the chaotic energy of a toddler, or the quiet confidence of a portrait.
I am not just taking photos for today. I am documenting the first page of your family history, from your engagement to the day you bring your first child home. Many of the families I work with have been part of my journey for years, and that long-term connection is the best reward I could ask for. Whether it is a grand wedding celebration or an intimate maternity session, I bring the same focus on authenticity and grace to every project.
